Congratulations to the Lady Eagles Soccer Team as 2009 District Champions with a district record of 9 - 1.

Congratulations to the following Lady Eagles Players:

 Gracie Thaxton was named to the Division 3 Girls All-State First Team and Abby Chowns was named to the Divsion 3 Girls All-State Second Team.  (http://www.lhssca.org/DIIIGirlsAllState2009.htm)

Abby Chowns, Hope Cook and Gracie Thaxton were each named to the All-Northeast LA Region FIRST TEAM and Kacie Linzay and Katelyn Tolbert were named to the SECOND TEAM.

 For Division 3, District 2:

Gracie Thaxton was named as District MVP

Abby Chowns named as Offensive MVP

Kacie Linzay, Katelyn Tolbert, Carly Thaxton and Hope Cook named FIRST TEAM ALL-DISTRICT.

Morgan Chelette and Meghan Austin named SECOND TEAM ALL-DISTRICT

On the boys side:

Tucker Deaton, Raymond Taylor and Trevor Jones were each named to the All-Northeast LA Region FIRST TEAM and Tim Ernst was named to the SECOND TEAM.

Trevor Jones, Raymond Taylor, Tim Ernst and Tucker Deaton were named FIRST TEAM ALL-DISTRICT.

Douglas George was named SECOND TEAM ALL-DISTRICT and Chris Temple was named HONORABLE MENTION.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced the 2008 High School Team Academic Award winners.  This award was given for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2007-08 academic year.

Ouachita Christian School was among just 55 schools around the country that received the honor for both its boys and girls teams.
