Congratulations to the Eagle Soccer Teams for their two victories this week to begin the 2009 - 10 season.  Players from both teams have been working hard to prepare for this week and those efforts paid off. 

The boys team will now enjoy a rare few days off and next train on Wednesday, November 25.

The girls team will depart for New Orleans on Monday morning, Novembe 23 for a 5 PM match at Isidore Newman HS and then after a visit to the Aquarium on Tuesday morning will head back to Monroe through Baton Rouge to visit Episcopal for a 3 PM match.


The ladies' team competes in District 2 of Division III in the LHSAA.

The OCS ladies' soccer team finished the 2008 - 2009  regular season as Champions of District 2.  

The mens’ team competes in District 2 of Division III in the LHSAA.

The OCS mens' soccer team finished the 2008 - 2009 regular season as third place in District 2.

 

OCS Soccer Coaches

Bruce Deaton, Head Soccer Coach

Coach Deaton is a former player and assistant coach at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where he earned both his bachelors and masters degrees.    He is the director of development at Ouachita Christian School. 

Coach Deaton holds a National "B" License and a National Youth License from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).  He also holds an Advanced National Diploma, as well as a Goalkeeper Level I and Level II diploma from the NSCAA.   

Coach Deaton was selected as the 2009 LHSSCA Division 3 Girls Coach of the Year.  Back in 2007, he was selected as the state and regional girls coach of the year for Private/Parochial schools by the NSCAA.  He is a member of the Louisiana ODP State Coaching staff (1992 Girls) and is one of the coaching directors for the Northeast Louisiana Soccer Association.
